Simple yet effective

We were taking a bus trip to Ohio for a local church restoration mission trip. Some of the kids who wanted to participate were not able to front the deposit needed to go. SO, in order to raise the money needed, we took a short trip to Sam's club. There, we purchased several cases of blow pops, jaw breakers and sour patch kids individual packs.

The kids then took these boxes of candy to their schools, and sold them for $.50 each piece. I'd say by 5th period, they had already raised a combined total of $200.00!!

The best part about this simple way to raise extra cash is that it is relatively easy to obtain bulk candy. Also, what kid doesn't need a quick sugar rush come mid day? When the candy is readily available and in your face, it's way more of a tempting little treat. The kids were more than able to raise the money needed for the mission trip by the week's end. And this process is definitely something we will use in the future.
