Small but determined!

Our High School Band is small, but determined! We have been fund raising to purchase new equipment and repair instruments for the past couple of years. This year we are taking the band to Victoria, BC for the Victoria Days parade and they will play several concerts while there. Trips are very motivating to the kids - and to their parents. The kids actually do a variety of fund raisers through the year. One of the most profitable is the Sees
Candy Bar Sales. Kids check out a box of delicious Sees chocolate candy bars and they sell each candy bar for $1.50. Kids can sell these to friends at school during lunch and to family members or around the neighborhood. Some of our kids sell candy outside the local mini mart on sunny Saturdays. They make quite a bit doing this. You sell more candy in nice weather! Last month two girls sold 10 boxes in one day and made over $60 in tips (straight donations to the school is the fastest way to earn money!) We do this off and on all year long, and make a good chunk of what each student needs to make the trip.
