The Help Feed Our Neighbor's Cookbook Fundraiser
by Shellie
(Akron, OH, USA)
We decided on a cookbook fundraiser because it was for the food pantry. We sold the cookbooks at our local bake sale and sold a few. But we needed to sell more. We had a church member whom also owned a farm and had a stand at our local farmer’s market. He volunteered to sell the cookbooks at the market so more people would have the opportunity to buy them.
It was a huge success. We had to print more cookbooks each week after the farmer’s market to keep up with the demand. We raised thousands of dollars to buy food for our food pantry and in turn are able to help many needy families in our area.
