The keyboard and a yellow rubber bracelet fund raising

Our church in San Jose, California had a fund raising some time ago because we wanted to buy a new keyboard which has all the latest functions including an orchestral accompaniment in a single button. Although the fund raising was not focused on one item, one of the choir member had these rubber bracelets which come in neon colors like yellow, green, blue, pink and even silvery black colors which has different Christian sayings on each of the bracelets.

I remember buying 3 of those as they seem to be very comfortable to wear and also hip as I see so many young church goers wearing one even on Sundays.

She was able to sell all of those and contributed a lot so at the end of the day, we were able to come up with 75 percent of the total amount we needed for the keyboard. The following week, one member donated some amount to complete what was lacking and so a few days after that, I was playing on the keyboard with the yellow rubber bracelet on my wrist.
