Trip To Quebec From Scratch Card Fundraiser

I am now about to graduate college, but I can remember back in 8th grade we had a fundraiser for our trip to Quebec, Canada. The fundraiser consisted of us selling scratch cards to all of our friends and family.

Now I come from a small town in Maine. I am from Aurora, Maine. Due to the small population it was hard to sell a lot of these scratchcards. Never the less we did make enough money to go to Quebec.

Being only in 8th grade at the time I can’t recall how much we made, but I do know that we earned enough to go to Quebec for a weekend, so this means that we made a good amount of money.

I think one of the keys to this fundraiser was the amount of interest it generated in the community. No one had ever seen this type of fundraiser before so with all the excitement generated we were actually able to make the kind of money that we needed to so we could reach our goals.
