Using an Online Auction for Cheerleading Camp

I am a PTA parent and often am called upon to do fundraisers for the school district.
When it came time for the cheerleading team of our high school to go away to a training summer camp, we decided to create a fundraiser to off set the funds that it would cost the parents. We live in a small suburb but we wanted to do a garage sale.
In order to meet the amount of people we wanted to bring in, we decided that we would use Ebay and have an online garage sale. One of our members of the PTA who was seasoned in using Ebay got a collection going of all the things that the parents wanted to sell and opened up his own store on Ebay where he could sell the items and bring all the profit back to the cheerleading camp fund.
We advertised around the community and neighboring communities and it was a large success. We were able to send each girl to the cheerleading camp with only a fifty dollar burden on each family instead of a 750.00 one!
