What a Fun Fundraiser!

We gave it a lot of thought and after some time came upon the idea of a lollipop fundraiser...but with the lollipop each member of our church and our local community that bought a lollipop would also receive a raffle ticket attached to the paper wrapping on the lollipop. After the 30 days of the sale after our Sunday Evening Church we would be running the raffle to see who the big winner (they would win 25% of all funds raised), and 2 smaller winners would be. We thought this would not only be a good, interesting and fun way to raise money for our Sunday School; but also a great way to get new members of the community into our church home!
So for 30 days all members of the church sold the lollipops to each other, their families and any members of our community that were willing to help out our church and take a chance on winning some small prices as well as some cash that everyone could use in these times.
The fundraiser with the raffle tickets was a huge success for everyone involved! After 30 days we had sold over $2,000 in lollipops which was way over what my husband and I ever expected!
After 30 days we had our Raffle give away after our Sunday evening service, where the church was full. In fact it was soo full we had people sitting on folding chairs in the isles. It was truly amazing!
During the raffle one member of our church home and another new visitor from the community won Christian Cds and boxes of candy and other goodies. The big winner was a member of our church home who won a little over $200 and he turned around and wonderfully gave us the money to help with our Sunday School Program! It was such a blessing for all of us and it was fun at the same time.
It has now become a tradition in our church home and we have more fun every year doing this awesome fundraiser!
