Wrestling team uniform fund-raising story!

So here's what happened:
I coach a high school wrestling team located in North Bergen, NJ. We had just begun our first year and training was going great, all the guys were extremely excited in becoming part of the team and were looking forward to state matches.
Problem is, as we had just started within the school (our first year), we had no official school uniforms to wear for our competition matches against other schools within the state.
Our idea: a bake sale. Of course, not just any bake sale but a Valentines day kissing bake sale. Of course, with each sale of a cookie a complimentary kiss would be included from any member of the wrestling team. If a person was to buy something of the same sex, a valentines day high five would be appropriate. I must say this wasn't my idea (of course it had to be one from one of my hormone laden team players).
The way we created hype for this event was to post fliers across the school grounds and have it advertised several weeks in advance within the school newspaper. We made cookies shaped like famous wrestlers (hulk hogan, the ultimate warrior, etc) and sold them with a lot of success. I must say that we ended up about 400 dollars out of our goal of 500.
If you're looking to raise money for a school, a quirky idea is always the best way to go!
